Mr.Sonam Wangdiis the Chief of Nature Conservation Division under the Department of Forests and Park Services of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
As the Chief of this Division, he is responsible for providing strategic guidance for conservation programs both within and outside of Bhutan’s Protected Areas. He technically advises the protected area system of Bhutan with scientific management plans for nature conservation, social interventions for community development inside the protected areas through human wildlife co-existence approaches, nature-based and ecotourism development and other integrated conservation and development programs.
