FLORICULTURE

Floriculture is a discipline of horticulture that specializes in the science of cultivation of flowers and ornamental plants. Flower crops are generally herbaceous including bedding plants, houseplants, flowering plants and pot plants, cut cultivated greens, and cut flowers.

Flowers have long been recognized as an epitome of human taste and aesthetics, and they play an important role in our daily lives as well as the national economy.

In a developing country like Bhutan, the flower market is progressively rising, and the number of plant farms has expanded from a bare minimum.
